On the road again

Sorry to have been away for so long, but we had a problem with the blog. For the past month we have been battling the insurance company. All of our appeals have been turned down due to the fact that Avastin is still considered an experimental drug. HOWEVER, We are leaving in the morning for Bethesda Maryland for an evaluation at the National Institute of Health. If we are accepted Marlene will be placed in an Avastin clinical trial. As one door closes God opens another one. Praise His blessed name! Please pray for us as we began this part of our journey and that we will be accepted in this clinical trial. Rem. GOD IS GOOD.........AND ALL THE TIME...........May God richly bless you all. Marlene & Roger

Catching up

Not sure what happens with time.....it is a little slow at the present, but the week was busy. I pray that everything will continue to move in the direction of treatment insurance approvels and I am trying very hard to accept the timing and know that treatment will come. We are getting ready for the big Thanksgiving trip to New York. Patti & Laura will return again this year, taking Luke & Linley. I am sure that they will have a wonderful time.....as usual we have many activits lined up. It has been 1 year this Thanksgiving since I had the first symptom of flashing lights and problems with my vision. I continue to wait for possiblities of improvement in the vision and be thankful that there has not been a lot of worsening changes. Will let everyone know when we hear more info on the insurance.....and treatment. Remember that God Loves you, and He is Good......All the Time. Marlene & Roger

Touching base

Adding another note today.....we are ecouraged, feel that there has been positive activity in the appeal process....so wanted to let you know. Will be a couple of days or so but there is things are moving and Roger and I are both very hopeful and very grate full for the help and prayers that we have had. We continue to remember that God is truly good and we are trully gratefull.....all the time! I'll keep you updated. Marlene (I am seeing a little better to day.....yepee but probably have many mispelled words..so will leave out most every thing til Roger returns.)

Trials continue

Touching base tonight to let you know the battle continues. We had a denial from the insurance co on Friday. Gearing up for the next appeal......with Anthem . Please pray that thia appeal is approved .God contiues to have a plan for my life. I am having tonight some vision problems tonight so I will not write much. Please remember that God Loves you.......and so do we......God is good.........all the time. Marlene & Roger
