On the road again

FINALLY! The medicine finally arrived on the morning of Dec. 18th and Marlene has taken it for two days. Tomorrow morning we will leave for Bethesda. Marlene will have blood work Fri. morning and a MRI in the afternoon. We should be able to head back toward Gate City Friday afternoon. We ask for your prayers as we begin this phase of our journey. We know God is with us on this journey and our prayer is His name will be glorified by the results. Bethesda

After spending the day traveling Monday, Marlene has spent most of the day at NIH having tests(EKG, Blood work, PET scan). We will see the doctors tomorrow and find out what our agenda will be. We are anxious to get started. We will probably travel back to Va. tomorrow afternoon. Marlene feels pretty well(we did find a mall)and we went shopping for a while this afternoon. Starting Treatment

We will travel to Bethesda on Monday Dec. 10th and report to NIH on Tues. morning. Marlene will have blood work and a PET scan and some other tests. We will see the doctors on Wed. at 12 o'clock and then we will travel back home. Marlene will begin taking the medicine on the 14thof Dec. We will travel back to NIH on the 18th for an MRI. "ACCEPTED"

After spending three days at NIH last week, Marlene was accepted into a clinical trial. Hopefully everything will snap into place and we will be back on the road thursday. After having an MRI on Friday, she would have the first treatment. The treatments are a pill that is taken once a day, but another MRI is required 48-96 hours after the first pill is taken. Once that is done we can probably start home sonetime on Monday. Please pray with us that everything comes together and we can start as soon as possible. Marlene feels well and was able to go to the Christmas contata this evening. Thank you for constant prayers and support. May God richly bless you during this special season. Rem.
