Week 2 Day 1

After traveling >800 miles over the weekend, God has delivered us safely back to Charlottesville. We were grateful that my treatment schedule allowed me to be gone from Friday afternoon until Monday afternoon and that we made the trip without difficulty. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers and for providing comfort and provisions along the way. Treatment resumed this afternoon. I still have only minimal side effects but I do know that I am receiving treatment. I look at that as a good thing, since I am here to be treated and I can tell that my body is responding, that's what we want! Continue to keep us both close, we are tired and will communicate better as the week goes on.

Thank you for the cards, e-mails, calls, and blog messages. They have comforted us and we look forward to reading them each evening. Remember, God is Good-----All the time & All the time-----God is good. In His love, Roger and Marlene

Glenna arrived at my house this evening from NY about 6:30 and we pulled up your blog together. We're very sorry for your loss of your uncle. I was glad to discover when I came back to create a Google account after she went to bed that you'd returned to Charlottesville safely. I'll let her know in the morning and we'll be in touch this week. Know that our prayers are with you.

Marlene, One week down, five to go. I will continue to pray for your comfort during this time of treatments. So sorry to hear about your uncle. Adam and Mary Beth's wedding was beautiful! I missed your presence. My mom wishes you well and we have added you to several prayer lists. Love to you and Roger. Debbie

Hey Mom,
Based on the harvest this weekend, I think the Lord is telling us that zucchini will be very beneficial to your treatment! We love you and are thinking of you so much! Try to get a picture of dad mowing the yard. I think that would definitely be blog-worthy! See you on Saturday!
Love,
LA

Glad you made it back to Charlottesville safely! Marlene, we were so sorry to hear about your uncle, and our thoughts and prayers continue for you both. We had our United Way Day of Caring projects in Scott County last week, with our Eastman teams working all day on Thursday. Roger, do you remember Lannie Joe Bright? He and others asked about Marlene and said to tell you they're thinking about you and praying for you. Take care!
