Counting on one hand

As we get to less than a week before we return to Gate City, we are excited. Treatment continues to go well, and side effects are about the same. Although this is a very pleasant place to be for the time being, it is not home and we miss all of you. I am glad some of you have reminded Roger what color he should be wearing (ORANGE), he's been eyeing the hats at the UVA shop pretty seriously, so we need to return, at least to Hokie country! We also heard that the watermelons in Carters Valley are beginning to get ripe! (along with the tomatoes and beans :) Everyone have a great day and remember: God is Good.......All the Time. Love you, Roger & Marlene

Just want you to know that we are counting too. Can't wait for you to be back in the SW. Gotta watch that Roger--NO UVA caps allowed South of Roanoke. I think they take them before you are allowed to cross into the Roanoke Valley.

Now Mom,
We specifically got Dad that VT hat for Father's Day! Yes, we all have a new found respect for UVA and how they are treating our family, but that does not make us Wahoos! There is a big difference between a Wahoo and a Scott County Yahoo. Please make sure Dad understands that.

Hooray for the final countdown! Hooray for watermelon and beans! We can't wait for you to be home - I am sure Elvis feels the same way.

Love to you both,
